The Osteopath will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive treatment plans, including pediatric and acute care cases, ensuring high-quality patient care in a clinical setting. We are open to negotiating splits! Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments using osteopathic techniques and medical terminology. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on musculoskeletal issues, pediatrics, and acute care cases. Maintain detailed case management records using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and scheduling. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care. Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care strategies. Manage time efficiently to handle multiple patient appointments while ensuring quality care delivery. Utilize mechanical knowledge and analysis skills to perform manual therapy techniques safely and effectively. Keep accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes, adhering to organizational standards. Stay updated on current healthcare practices related to osteopathy, pediatrics, and hospital experience requirements. Qualifications Proven experience or background in hospital settings or clinical environments preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, case management, and patient care procedures. Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French or other languages is a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Word processing tools for documentation purposes. Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple cases efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including nursing staff. Mechanical knowledge beneficial for understanding equipment or manual therapy techniques. Experience in pediatrics and acute care is advantageous. Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
