The Osteopath will engage in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home care environments. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on osteopathic principles. Utilize techniques such as manipulation and mobilization to alleviate pain and improve function. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems like Cerner. Educate patients and their families about treatment options, self-care strategies, and preventive measures. Skills Proficiency in pain management techniques and strategies. Strong data collection skills for effective patient assessment and research purposes. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
