Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide holistic patient care by applying osteopathic principles, ensuring effective treatment and recovery. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of medical terminology and patient management. Multilingual abilities, especially bilingual or French language skills, are considered a plus to serve diverse patient populations. The Osteopath will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care in a clinical setting. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on osteopathic principles Perform manual therapy techniques to address musculoskeletal issues, including pain management and mobility improvement Maintain detailed case management records and document patient progress accurately using electronic health records systems such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care, especially in acute care and pediatrics settings Assist in organizing patient schedules, follow-up appointments, and managing time efficiently to ensure smooth clinic operations Utilize mechanical knowledge for equipment handling and patient positioning during treatments Stay updated with medical terminology, hospital protocols, and current best practices in osteopathic medicine Requirements Valid certification or license as an Osteopath or equivalent qualification in osteopathic medicine Proven experience in hospital or clinical settings, particularly in acute care or pediatrics preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly to patients of diverse backgrounds Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and word processing tools for documentation purposes Multilingual capabilities or bilingual proficiency (including French) are highly desirable to serve a diverse patient demographic Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently Knowledge of nursing procedures, medical terminology, and case management practices Mechanical knowledge beneficial for understanding equipment use and patient positioning techniques Strong analysis skills for evaluating patient conditions and adjusting treatment plans accordingly Ability to work well under pressure with effective time management skills This position offers an engaging opportunity for healthcare professionals committed to delivering high-quality osteopathic care within a multidisciplinary team.
