The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in hospital settings, research, and acute care. This role involves providing specialized osteopathic treatments aimed at pain management and improving overall well-being. The Osteopath will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care, utilizing advanced medical systems and maintaining accurate data collection. A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to medical standards is essential for success in this position. Osteopath must have existing client load or is looking for a space to practice Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on pain relief and functional improvement Utilize techniques such as manual therapy, soft tissue manipulation, and other osteopathic methods Manage patient care across various settings, including hospital, home care, and outpatient clinics Document patient progress accurately using electronic health records systems such as Epic and Cerner Assist in research initiatives related to osteopathic practices and patient outcomes Administer medications when appropriate, following all safety protocols Collect and analyze data to monitor treatment effectiveness and support clinical research efforts Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care Educate patients on injury prevention, lifestyle modifications, and self-care strategies Skills Proven experience in hospital environments with a focus on acute care and pain management Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic health record systems like Epic and Cerner Experience working with pediatric populations (pediatrics) is preferred Skilled in patient care techniques specific to osteopathy, including manual therapy and soft tissue techniques Ability to perform data collection accurately for research or quality improvement projects Knowledge of medication administration protocols within clinical settings Experience in home care services is advantageous Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration Ability to adapt treatment approaches based on individual patient needs and clinical evidence This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' health through specialized osteopathic care within a supportive healthcare environment.
