Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Manual Osteopath to join our wellness park team. The ideal candidate will provide expert manual therapy techniques to promote patient recovery, pain relief, and overall wellness. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care, and effective communication skills. The Manual Osteopath will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality treatment in a clinical setting, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Perform manual therapy techniques including soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilization, and other osteopathic procedures to treat musculoskeletal conditions. Assess patient needs through detailed case management, including evaluating medical histories and current symptoms. Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient requirements, including pediatrics and acute care cases. Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress using Word processing and case management software. Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and provide guidance on post-treatment care. Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as nurses and physicians to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and maintain a clean, organized treatment environment. Stay updated on the latest developments in osteopathic medicine through ongoing professional development. Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and other relevant software for documentation and communication purposes. Multilingual abilities, especially bilingual or French language skills, are highly desirable for serving diverse patient populations. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to musculoskeletal health and acute care settings. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members. Organizational skills for managing multiple cases efficiently while adhering to time management principles. Mechanical knowledge beneficial for understanding body mechanics and therapeutic equipment use. Experience in hospital or healthcare environments is preferred, along with familiarity in pediatrics and nursing practices. Analytical skills necessary for assessing patient conditions and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
