Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Manual Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of osteopathic principles and practices, as well as a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients using manual therapy techniques to promote health and wellness. The Manual Osteopath will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in various settings, including hospitals, home care, and acute care environments. Duties Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their osteopathic needs. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and medical history. Utilize manual therapy techniques to address musculoskeletal issues and improve overall health. Educate patients on self-care strategies and lifestyle modifications to enhance recovery. Maintain accurate patient records, including data collection and documentation in electronic health systems such as Epic or Cerner. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stay informed about current research and advancements in osteopathy and related fields. Administer medications as necessary while adhering to medical terminology standards. Qualifications Valid certification or licensure as a Manual Osteopath. Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medication administration protocols. Experience working in hospital, home care, or acute care settings is preferred. Strong data collection skills for accurate patient assessments and documentation. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. A commitment to ongoing professional development and research in the field of osteopathy.
