Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive osteopathic care to patients, focusing on holistic treatment methods that emphasize the body's ability to heal itself. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, acute care practices, and pain management techniques. The Osteopath will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in a hospital or medical office setting, ensuring high-quality patient care. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on osteopathic principles. Administer medications as needed and monitor patient responses to treatments. Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and healthcare team members. Provide pain management solutions through various osteopathic techniques. Engage in research activities to stay updated on the latest advancements in osteopathy and related fields. Collaborate with pediatric specialists when treating younger patients, ensuring age-appropriate care. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Cerner and Epic. Participate in acute care situations, providing immediate attention to patients in need. Qualifications Osteopathy degree from an accredited institution. Valid state license to practice osteopathy. Experience in a medical office or hospital setting is preferred. Proficiency in medication administration and understanding of pain management strategies. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to osteopathic practice. Strong research skills to contribute to ongoing professional development and patient care improvements. Experience working with athletes is an asset. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
